Looking for a keynote speaker to deliver an exciting, engaging talk as part of a conference or event?

I regularly speak to universities and organizations, as well as at events, on topics such as leadership, social justice, and the ways those two concepts enhance our work together. I’ve been told I am an engaging, energetic speaker who can make complex or difficult topics easier to engage with and understand through humor, personal story telling, and a knack for connecting with each person in an audience big or small.

I highly value making my work accessible to as many people and communities as possible. I also believe this to be one way to address historical disenfranchisement and re-distribute resources. For this reason, I offer my services on a sliding scale rate. I have drawn inspiration from friends and other people in my life, including My Invisible Knapsack and hc lou, who employ this practice with their work.

Keynotes range from $250-$1000 for a 1 hour talk. The rate depends on the size of the organization hosting the event, their annual revenue, the type of work they are doing, and the size of the audience. Smaller, community based organizations with small staffing and limited resources who serve communities historically disenfranchised by our current systems can expect to pay at the lower end of the scale while large organizations, universities, and corporations with substantial resources can expect to pay toward the top of the scale. Longer talks or a series of talks can also be available. This rate does not include travel or lodging, which are required for engagements outside the greater San Diego, Orange, of Los Angeles County areas.
